Burnish the vinyl so that it’s completely stuck to the tape. Peel away the tape’s backer paper and place the tape, sticky-side down, over this part of the design. To add the words to your glass, cut a piece of transfer tape that’s just a bit larger than the design. Use the adhesive tape to adhere it to the back of the shadow box to keep it in place.Ĭlean the glass front of your shadow box. Insert the black cardstock with your crayon heart into the shadow box. Use a hot glue gun to adhere each crayon in place. Use the utility knife to cut crayons as needed to make your shape. Use a pencil to lightly trace the heart shape onto the middle of a sheet of black cardstock.Īrrange crayons on the heart. When you’re done, only the design itself should be left on the backer paper. Repeat Step 4 for each remaining mat layer.įor the vinyl words, use your weeder tool to peel away the vinyl from inside and around the words. The vinyl words will go on the glass in the front of your shadow box. TIP: Cut the heart shape from copy (or scrap) paper to use as a template for your crayons. Once the machine has finished cutting, gently remove from your mat. Select the material for your mat and follow the prompts to cut out your design. Place your material onto your cutting mat and load it into your Cricut® machine. Now, click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner and then click ‘Continue’ in the lower right corner of your screen.
